Finishing

Painting.

All our furniture products are hand painted using the finest brushes and rollers for a smooth finish. We take great care in the process from filling any imperfections and pin holes. It then gets primed and sanded, re-checked and primed, filled and sanded as necessary. Once satisfied we give a first coat of paint, let it dry then reinspected it again. Usually Once the first coat of paint has been applied that's when its easier to spot any filling that needs doing again. As previous steps it is fill, sand then paint the second coat. All being well once the second is dry it gets its final coat.

We can do spray painting, The main reason why we don't is for practicality reasons. No matter how careful accidents do happen. If you were to knock a spray painted finish, it needs to be resprayed. However, if its hand painted it means repairing and maintaining it is easier. We want your products to last and not worry too much should an accident happen. You'll be left with spare paint, and if need be, we can pop over and touch it up where needed.

You can choose pretty much any colour as well. We have various brand samples from our supplier that we can leave with you to choose from. Most our of the paints we use are from either Little Green or Teknos. However, if you have a different choice then that's cool. Whatever you feel comfortable with.

Wax and Oils

We can hand finish our timber products in wax and oils. They come in different shades from clear, (bringing out the natural colour of the timber), to pink( where you still the grain but it has a distinctive colour)
